The next time you forget to chill your white wine, try this little trick used by the professionals for a quick chill. Fill your wine bucket with equal parts ice and cold water. Add a 1/4 cup of salt to the water-ice mixture and place wine in the bucket to chill. The salt lowers the freezing point of water without turning it into ice and therefore chills your wine more quickly.
